The AAD RA1040 is an insulated, flat packed return air box with a 1000 x 400mm face and a height of 450mm. It sits above a return air grille of that size and connects it to the return duct.

The AAD catalogue lists this box against the ECF/SD10040 grilles. Air drawn up through the grille gathers in the box before passing into the return duct and back to the indoor unit. The box comes flat packed, so it is assembled before going into the ceiling, and its 5mm external silver insulation faces the roof space. A 1000mm-long, 400mm-wide face suits a long grille that fits between ceiling framing.

Match the box face to your return air grille size. The listing does not give a spigot size, so confirm how your return duct will connect to the box. Check that the ceiling void has 450mm of height for the box.

• Dispatch: usually within 1 business day (allow up to 3 business days). Orders placed after 12:00 pm Sydney time are processed the next business day.
• Delivery time after dispatch: usually 3 to 4 business days to most addresses, and up to 10 business days to regional and remote areas, including WA, the NT and Tasmania.
• Pickup: not available. All orders are delivered.

AC Hub Direct does not run its own warehouse. Orders are dispatched from our suppliers' warehouses in New South Wales and Victoria, usually from the location nearest to you that has stock.

Change of mind: request a return within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, uninstalled and in their original unopened packaging. A 15% restocking and administration fee applies, you pay the return freight, and the original delivery charge is not refunded.

Cancellations: if you cancel before your order is dispatched, we refund it less a 4% administration fee, which covers payment processing costs. Once an order is dispatched, a cancellation is handled as a change-of-mind return.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items: no restocking fee, and we cover the return freight. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply.

Manufacturer's warranty terms vary by brand, and some manufacturers require installation by a licensed technician or purchase from a dealer they have authorised, so please ask us for the manufacturer's published warranty terms before you buy; your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.

If you receive a faulty, damaged or incorrect item, contact us with your order number and photos. We will arrange a repair, replacement or refund in line with the Australian Consumer Law.
