Air from the rooms comes back to the cabinet through a central grille and duct to be heated again. Keeping the cabinet outdoors means the roof space does not have to hold the heater or an internal flue, though the ducts still run through the roof or under the floor. Installation, gas connection and flueing must be carried out by a licensed gasfitter.

If this heater is replacing an older external unit, compare the duct connections and base position with the existing one. Check the outdoor position keeps the clearances required from windows, doors and boundaries, confirm the property's gas type against the heater ordered because the listing does not state it, and have an 18.5kW output confirmed by a heat load assessment.
